The Green Bay Packers kicked off the NFL season with a tight victory .
It was a game for those defences, together using Green Bay successfully restricting the Bears‘ offensive play.
Since the Packers led 10-3 using two minutes and three seconds an interception from preceding Chicago security Adrian Amos thwarted a Bears comeback.
This was the first match in charge of Green Bay head coach Matt LaFleur, following substituting Mike McCarthy.
Defending NFC North champions Chicago had dominated the opening quarter because their own defence, which led the NFL in points allowed last year and returned four Pro Bowlers, restricted the Packers leading to minus-12 lawns and three punts.
However, the Packers remained patient and quarterback Aaron Rodgers played with a tactical game, which contained a fake finishing in the second quarter in a profit of 47 early.
Chicago could not find a means through in the fourth quarter, as Preston Smith moments sacked Mitchell Trubisky after Amos‘ intercept.
Post-match,“ Bears coach Matt Nagy bemoaned his team’s score because he said“three is idiotic… any Chicago Bears fan should be upset“, while some grinning Rodgers told NBC:“We’ve got a defence.“
