Major League Baseball (MLB) is likely to review its stance on recreations betting, as Commissioner Rob Manfred continues his conversation on gambling.

Major League Baseball Commissioner Rob Manfred will continue reviewing sports gambling, but the baseball boss seems to be moving closer to supporting widespread legalization.

Appearing this week at the Yahoo Finance All areas Summit in New York City, Manfred said during a conversation titled ‚The Business of Sports‘ that his league is reviewing the pros and cons of sports betting.

‚Sports gambling happens. Whether it is legalized here or perhaps not, it’s happening out here,‘ Manfred explained. ‚Are we better off in a world where we have a good, strong, uniform federal regulation of gambling that protects the integrity of sports? A planned Connecticut casino will reveal its targeted location for construction in the coming days, and the impending announcement has the ears of all vested gaming interests operating in the northeast.

The Mashantucket and Mohegan people are considering building in the northern part of the state in the towns of Windsor Locks or East Windsor. That would place the Connecticut casino just 15 miles from MGM Springfield.
